As Maxwell Health’s Director of Product Design, Dana Giuliana and his team bridge the gap between the complex world of benefits and the everyday people who enroll in them or administer them. The product design team, aka our “UX team”, are essentially the architects that define how a user flows through our products, what they see on each screen and how the products speak and relate to the users. Dana makes sure the team balances business needs and technical capabilities with the users needs and perspectives. The team conducts research with end-users, conducts brainstorming sessions, generates prototypes and collaborates with engineers to make sure the final product looks and feels like it should.
Prior to his stint at Maxwell, Dana was a senior UX lead for digital design agencies Sapient Razerfish and RDVO, where he worked with Fortune 500 clients in the retail, financial, and automotive industries. Dana was also a UX manager at the media company Boston.com and and at American Well a leading telehealth platform.
Dana is married with three boys and a treehouse at his home just north of Boston. He enjoys peddling into work on his bike and frequently brings his pooch into the office (don’t ask how he gets the dog on the bike). Dana studied Film at George Washington University and Emerson College where he received his B.F.A.
